this is regarding the "MALAY STORY" workshop which is on 10 feb(tues)..

this is only for selected people:

**Please fill up the Indemnity Form and have the necessary signatures (if you are below 18 years old) before 10 Feb. Bring the signed forms with you on 10 Feb 09.

Reporting time: 9.15 am
Reporting venue: Taman Warisan Melayu
Attire: Something comfortable for running around.

the activities will be from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm.

You will get up to 5 NDA points for the following tasks:

(1) Task 1 (1NDA): Completion of worksheet. (Individual)
(2) Task 2 (1NDA): (Group work)
a. Draft a script for a guided tour of one heritage trail. (Group)
b. Complete a slideshow for virtual walkthrough of one heritage trail. (To be presented at the MCG Welcome Tea’09)
(3) Task 3 (1 NDA): Participate in the two main discussions and exchange ideas about the Malay Story, with reference to the tour of the Malay Heritage Centre, Kampong Glam Civic District and National Library Malay Language Collection. (Student will not be awarded this point if they did not share their perspectives and ideas about the Malay Story from their day’s experience.)
(4) Task 4 (up to 2 NDA): (Individual) Submit either one of the following:
a. 1,000-words essay on “The Malay Story” in either Malay or English. (2 NDA)
b. Photo essay of at least 10 photos with captions and story board. (1 NDA)
c. 500-word poem/sajak on “The Malay Story” in Malay, inspired by the material cultural heritage, cultural landscape and/or local literary works. (1 NDA)

Please bring along the following items:

Individual:
Writing materials
Clipboard
Camera Phone/Camera/Video Cam
Water bottle

Group:
One laptop per group.
At least one member should have a Wireless@SG account.
